There may be a negative notion that outsourcing takes away jobs from current employees in a particular company or agency, but it is not entirely in a negative light as outsourcing is also a good source for employment. When outsourcing companies open a new facility, it can be expected that vacant positions will not go below 50, especially for those companies who provide call center solutions.

India has been the top choice for many companies when they consider outsourcing mainly because of the benefits associated with outsourcing to India. However, it seems that this will not be the case for long as emerging destinations in the field of outsourcing, particularly in accounting outsourcing, are paving the way for companies to go beyond India into other locations.

Contact center outsourcing continues on its path of growth with the entry of 2011.  Considering that the Philippines currently ranks first in terms of revenues in the call center outsourcing space according to forecasts by the Everest Group, the country has proven that it is well on its way in further improving its lot in the industry with numerous companies betting on the country for expansion opportunities this 2011.

Offshoring in the Philippines continues to be promising despite the strengthening currency against the dollar.  Long heralded as one of the most preferred destinations for call center outsourcing services, the Philippines currently holds high regard in the outsourcing space.  Just this past week, the country has once again been named as the offshoring destination of the year against fellow finalists, Egypt, Ukraine and Sri Lanka, by the National Outsourcing Association.

While outsourcing hubs, China and India, are currently leading in the outsourcing space, other destinations such as countries in Latin America and Southeast Asian country, Philippines, have seen their fair share of growth in outsourcing business coming through these past few months.  The Philippines in particular, is seeing a number of expansions by outsourcing companies this month alone.

The differences in the current outsourcing clime among different regions in the world have become as stark as black and white this past month.  Different events around the world have contributed to the current climate and while some may feel relief, some are also feeling the pressure.

When people say outsourcing, a select few countries would immediately come to mind.  But while the economy continues its recovery and business continues to thrive, more and more places are being tagged as ‘the best’ or ‘the hottest’ outsourcing destination.  Not all outsourcing destinations however were created equal, which is why many outsourcing providers have branched out in one place or another, some obviously preferring that destination, some to sample the local flavor to see if they’ll prosper there.
