This year has been predicted to be a year for the IT outsourcing to advance and the demand for such type of services will also see an increase. IT operations have already proven its importance in any industry, especially with the current position of the market, having an exemplary and streamlined IT process is indeed leverage for any type of company. There are different IT solutions that a company can tap, depending on the needs of your company; among the different solutions being offered by IT outsourcing solutions providers are application development, quality assurance and testing, and technical support.

If it’s not about healthcare reform, it’s about information technology.  Whichever the case, both indicate that healthcare outsourcing is expected to garner a lot of business this year – and healthcare outsourcing providers such as medical coding or medical billing companies know it.

Numerous outsourcing companies released results following the end of the quarter, with Accenture (NYSE:ACN) leading the pack.  It was currency volatility, problems in Europe, and attrition which were some of the major issues that were raised with the release of results.  The general flavor in the outsourcing space has been that business in outsourcing is steadily on the rise with business process outsourcing and IT outsourcing coming into major play, with the big winners being Indian companies, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (NSE:TCS), and HCL Technologies (NSE:HCLTECH), as well as company Xerox Inc (NYSE:XRX).

Contrary to the slowdown projected for IT outsourcing growth, in just a span of a few days, three big outsourcing companies won IT outsourcing contracts all from different regions in the world.

IT outsourcing growth is on the rebound but it is unlikely that it will ever be the same again. After the big boom that the industry experienced a few years ago before the recession, analysts estimate that this is unlikely to happen again.

What have certainly abounded this first quarter are the strategic partnerships that have been formed among different types of companies across the industry. Efforts to diversify their product offerings are at the root of this trend as competition for outsourcing contracts increases.

Tallying the headlines from December 13-19, the most featured company in outsourcing news was Infosys (NasdaqGS: INFY).  The company has appeared back to back in news bits and clips all over the world and it seems like the company is revving up their strategies for the coming new year.
