Business process outsourcing solutions providers are usually looking for the best place to host their services from, and it is in fact the reason why there are actually countries that push to become the top outsourcing destination. In fact, countries are exhausting all possible measures, including seeking assistance from each of their own governments, to become the destination that comes to companies’ minds when thinking of outsourcing parts, if not all, of their operations or administrative tasks. But one can notice that for every channel in the outsourcing industry, there is a particular country that is being scouted; for example, Philippines springs to mind when companies are looking to outsource their customer service, mainly because the Philippines is now regarded as the top destination for call center needs.

The Four Stages of Outsourcing: Part I
(This is the first of two parts discussing the four stages of outsourcing.) Almost all partnerships that have been successful went through phases that define the actual process of engaging with each other, and that does not exempt the industry of outsourcing. Outsourcing could probably be considered as the industry that rely on solutions providers’ engagement, although seldom announced to the public due to non-disclosure agreements signed by both parties, with companies who seek their assistance to form a partnership. It is with outsourcing where collaboration between two companies, one being a BPO services provider and the other being a company offering different services, since the outsourcing industry today seems to be able to cater to any industry, keeps outsourcing up and running.

Companies Shifting Call Center Services In-House
When companies found that they could successfully shift operations of call center services to call center outsourcing provider’s years ago, many jumped at the chance, fueling an outsourcing boom to places such as the Philippines and India. Outsourcing Companies Step-Up Acquisitions
The outsourcing industry has been defined just as much by acquisitions, as much as it has been defined by mega deals: think Xerox (NYSE:XRX) and Affiliated Computer Services. This November, several companies have announced acquisitions of other firms in a bid to redefine their services, and expand their business, and perhaps to give rise to the next Xerox-ACS caliber acquisition, within different industries including legal process outsourcing, IT outsourcing and call center outsourcing.
