Below are the reasons why I believe you should choose solutions providers who are based in the Philippines and how Philippine solution providers are different from the other outsourcing destinations.

The Philippines has found its niche markets. Process outsourcing companies in the Philippines offer various solutions but the country’s strength lies in business process and knowledge-based solutions. While other outsourcing destinations boast of their expertise in IT-related and software outsourcing solutions, the Philippines takes pride in its expertise on customer service solutions and back office solutions. The Philippines is now easing its way into the software outsourcing sphere, by placing more emphasis on science and math in its education system. The Philippines is beginning to emerge as a strong competitor for IT services as well.

High literacy rate among workforce. India and China may be over the top when it comes to their manpower pool but the Philippines’ National Capital Region, where most of BPO offices are located, boasts of a functional literacy rate of 94.0 percent. According to the National Statistics Office, “58 million out of the estimated 67 million Filipinos are functionality literate, meaning they can read, write, compute and comprehend.”

Strong telecommunications infrastructure. The Philippines has a world-class telecommunications infrastructure that is perfect for running businesses on a 24×7 basis. Even though research suggests that India’s bandwidth system is reliable, this is an area which the Philippines prove to be a strong contender as well. Infrastructures in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are exceptional and rarely experience service interruptions.

Filipinos are customer-oriented. Filipinos customer-orientation is a result of the characteristic that Filipinos are culturally known for, which is “Malasakit”. Aside from being fluent in English, this is what makes the Philippines a better choice for businesses that are looking to outsource their customer service or technical support solutions. Malasakit is embodied by a person who shows concern or care towards another person and is committed to bringing the best out of the people they are acquainted with.

You don’t need to micromanage your Philippine offshore team. With the Philippines workforce, business owners can be assured that the quality of work will remain high even without the need to supervise the offshore teams closely. Filipino workers have high work standards, integrity and sincerely care about their customers’ success.
