Prospects for outsourcing in the current year seem very bright indeed; this is according to different surveys and market estimates indicated during this first quarter.

A few months back I wrote an article on how outsourcing has already been helping with cost reductions in the Healthcare Industry, and with the recent passing of the U.S. Healthcare Reform Bill, many are anticipating an increase in business opportunities in this sector.

With the passage of the historic, although much maligned, Obama healthcare reform bill in the US, a new opportunity has opened up for outsourcing companies as hospitals and insurance providers will now be seeking ways of minimizing expenses.

A day before the release of the 4^th quarter financial results of outsourcing company Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), they announced plans to lay off many of its employees, without disclosing how many and which locations would be affected.

America’s problem is not just its unstoppable rising unemployment rates but as well as its disastrous health care system. With a strong growing demand for well priced high quality health care service and rising unemployment rate, the outsourcing industry can benefit from playing an active part in the health care system restructuring.
