A talent pool is quite similar to a vehicular tire that as you use it more frequently, it will soon be thin and would have to be replaced. With a talent pool, the increasing demand for outsourced services have caused off-shore service providers to experience a challenge because the amount of people who are skilled for a particular task no longer matches the demand for such. Outsourcing companies who wish to continue supply their clients with efficient, skilled employees should now begin to take measures to address the impending issue of talent pool depletion.

Taking into account the global recovery and regulations among financial institutions, many companies have been turning to outsourcing companies, availing themselves of financial outsourcing services such as financial services and finance and accounting outsourcing services, in order to meet regulations, while saving costs and meeting deadlines. Different countries such as Rwanda, Sri Lanka and China, are capitalizing on the trend by ramping up their front and back office solutions for the financial sector.

As predictions for the coming year are in abundance, different analysts and publications have weighed in on sectors in the outsourcing industry which they deem will be a sector to watch.  Aside from mainstays such as medical billing outsourcing or medical coding outsourcing, and information technology outsourcing, which have been some of the most talked about sectors of this year, other sectors such as financial services and recruitment process outsourcing have also been identified as one to watch in 2011.

It is almost a given that what works for companies in the past, may not work for those in the present. With the global recovery and mounting tension within the outsourcing industry, one sector that has quietly faded into the background is the financial services outsourcing industry.  It has taken a backseat amid healthcare outsourcing troubles early this year and the ever-growing information technology outsourcing industry.

A day before the release of the 4^th quarter financial results of outsourcing company Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), they announced plans to lay off many of its employees, without disclosing how many and which locations would be affected.
